Lindenwood University’s Board of Directors has approved a 2.9 percent increase in the undergraduate tuition rate for the 2015-2016 academic year. The total expense for residential undergraduates, including tuition, fees, room, and board, will go up by 2.1 percent.
Artist Robert Spahr will present his work on technology at the Lindenwood University-Belleville Speaker Series on March 26 in the U.S. Senator Alan J. Dixon Student Center. Spahr will host the workshop “Raspberry Pi, an Open Source Creative Tool” at 1 p.m. and a presentation at 6:30 p.m. These events are free and open to the public.
The City of Belleville and Belleville Christkindlmarkt awarded Lindenwood University-Belleville a certificate of appreciation for community spirit and sponsorship of the inaugural Belleville Christkindlmarkt and the 2014 Belleville Bicentennial.
Lindenwood University has partnered with the greatest female athlete of the 20th century, Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee and the R. Whittington Foundation to offer two full scholarships to students from Missouri and the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Military Advanced Education (MAE) has awarded Lindenwood University-Belleville the designation of a Top School in its 2015 MAE Guide to Colleges & Universities, measuring best practices in military and veteran education. The guide will be released in the December issue of MAE, and will be available online at www.mae-kmi.com.
Educate to Career has ranked Lindenwood University as a top value in its recent college ratings index. With a score of 85.8, Lindenwood was ranked 234th out of 1,224 four-year colleges in the U.S., or the top 20 percent, giving it the second highest ranking in the St. Louis area.
