Wrestling (M) - About the Program
Lindenwood - Belleville wrestling is led by head coach, Kyle Jahn. Coach Jahn comes to Lindenwood – Belleville after volunteering at Sacred Heart University since 2011. Prior to coaching at Sacred Heart, Jahn was Jahn was an assistant coach at Appalachian State University from 2009-11. While at Appalachian State Jahn oversaw recruitment of new and transfer students, as well as practice organization. Jahn is a graduate of McKendree University where he was a NAIA National Champion in the 141 pound weight class in 2008 and a three-time All-American. Jahn ranked in the top six nationally in 2007 and was also a three- time NAIA finalist at McKendree. Jahn joined the McKendree coaching staff after receiving his Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2009. Matches and practice take place in the Lynx Arena located on campus. The facility was recently renovated and will offer an exciting atmosphere for home contests. It seats over 1,500 spectators and features upstairs balcony seating as well as student sections under each basket.Attached to the south side of the Lynx Arena is a 12,000 sq. ft. practice facility designed for individual workouts, general student use, and a secondary location for practice. In addition to the Lynx Arena and the Recreation Gymnasium, a new fitness center is located beneath the main gym floor adjacent to the varsity locker room.
