Head Coach: Justin Wells

Justin Wells begins his first season as Head Coach of the men’s volleyball program. 

Wells spent the past two seasons at Trine University as the assistant women’s volleyball coach. While at Trine he was the setting coach, ran the offense, and was the recruiting coordinator. In addition, Wells started a satellite of the Fort Wayne Volleyball Club in Angola, Indiana called the Angola Volleyball Club.

Wells completed his collegiate career at Cardinal Stritch University as a setter.  While at Cardinal Stritch, Wells took his team to the NAIA National Tournament in 2008 and 2009. In 2010 he was named the Intern Coach and coached the team at the National Tournament.

Along with coaching at Trine, Wells has coached at Norwell High School, Homestead High School, Fort Wayne Volleyball Club, and several NCAA Division I summer volleyball camps including Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Northwestern. 

Wells received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University in 2010, and is currently pursuing his Masters in Counseling degree at Lindenwood University – Belleville.

 Graduate Assistant Coach: Ashley Lautner

Coach Lautner enters her first season as the Graduate Assistant for the Men's Volleyball program, after volunteering as an undergraduate assistant last season.

Lautner is a 2008 graduate of Belleville West High School.  After high school she received a scholarship to play for Southwestern Illinois College.  After graduating from SWIC, she went on to play at Lindenwood University-Belleville.  She graduated in 2012.

Lautner has volunteered as an assistant coach for several teams since 2005.  She was a head coach for the club YMCASWIL, and since 2010 she has been the head coach of her own club team, Midwest Fire.  Lautner has led her players to many successes over the past three years.
