To start the season the Lindenwood-Belleville Lady Lynx had something to prove after finishing sixth last season at the USCAA Championships with a record of 1-3. So after receiving the bid this year to the tournament the Lady Lynx took an all business approach and knew they could not waste this opportunity.
After defeating the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 seeds on the first two days of the tournament, the Lady Lynx of Lindenwood-Belleville defeated No. 7 Ave Maria to bring home the 2013 USCAA National Championship Title. It marks the first National Championship for a female sport at Lindenwood – Belleville.
The Lindenwood-Belleville softball team beat the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds on the second day of the USCAA National Tournament to put themselves in the National Championship game.
The Lindenwood-Belleville softball team was recognized Sunday night for its success on and off the field. Stephanie Holiday, Mackenzie Foiles and Marquis Lozoya were named All-American, and Samantha Hutchinson and Meghan Bolen were named All-Academic.

The Lindenwood-Belleville softball team is headed back to the USCAA National Championships for the second consecutive season. In their first appearance in school history the Lady Lynx finished with a record of 1-3 and sixth place overall.
The Lindenwood-Belleville softball team travelled to Ashford University to take part in the Ashford Invitational on Saturday and then travelled to Central Methodist on Sunday to take on the Lady Eagles.
