Adam Reeb has been named head coach of LU – Belleville’s men’s and women’s tennis team. As a former NCAA Division I player and coach, Reeb’s experience will provide strong leadership for LU – Belleville’s tennis programs
“My main goal is to run programs that the entire campus and Belleville community can be proud of,” said Reeb. “Whether it’s in the classroom, around campus or on the court, the ultimate goal is for people to say that LU – Belleville tennis does it the right way.”
Reeb has spent the past two years as the assistant coach at Saint Louis University, where he helped guide the Billiken women to a second-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship during his first season. Prior to SLU, Reeb served as an assistant coach at McKendree where he was named the 2010 Intercollegiate Tennis Association NAIA Men’s Region III Assistant Coach of the Year. Before beginning his coaching career, Reeb was a four-year member of the Billiken tennis team, finishing his playing career ranked seventh in career doubles wins at SLU. In addition, Reeb was recently certified as a Tennis Professional by the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA).
“I hope I can bring a winning tradition to the Lynx tennis programs,” said Reeb. “I see a bright future ahead for both teams and I can’t wait to get started.”
Reeb is a 2009 summa cum laude graduate of SLU, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in leadership and change management. In 2010, he graduated with honors from the United States Sports Academy with a master’s degree in sport science. Reeb is a native of Belleville, Illinois and a graduate of Althoff Catholic High School.
“I’m looking forward to having a Belleville native lead our tennis programs,” said Director of Athletics Scott Spinner. “Reeb is well-connected and respected in the local tennis community, and I think that will help our local recruitment.”
