Belleville, Ill. - The Lindenwood – Belleville Bowling team has signed three new student-athletes for the 2012-13 season.
Christo-Rice Sanchez is the first to sign with the LU bowling team. Sanchez comes from Bethalto High School, where he served as their anchor leading the team with the highest series at 716. His junior year he made it to state averaging 206 at sectionals and 200 at state. Sanchez had a 300 game this year, finishing his senior year with a 199 average.
“Sanchez is ready for the challenge of bowling at the collegiate level,” said Head Coach Kim Williams. “His enthusiasm towards being part of the LU – Belleville family is rewarding and I’m expecting great success from him.”
The second signee, Jenna Bowers, comes from Cahokia High School as there leadoff with a high series 687, high game of 270 and finishing off her high school bowling average at a 190.
“She will be a great contributor to our women's team,” said Williams. “Jenna has also bowled on a few sports shots and is looking forward to putting in the work for the success of the team.”
Jade Coleman, the third Lynx signee, comes from Centralia High School with a high series of 630 and a high game of 215 finishing off her high school bowling average of 180.
“Jade is ready to put the work into building her average up for a sport shot,” said Williams. “I’m looking forward to having her join the LU – Belleville Lynx, as she will be a huge contribution to our women's team”
