LU-Belleville Earns Several USCAA All-American Awards
November 17, 2011 Belleville, Ill. – Following an impressive fall season for Lindenwood – Belleville Athletics, which included two USCAA National Championship Titles, the Lynx placed several athletes from various sports on All-American and All-Academic teams. 2011 USCAA Fall Sport All-American and All-Academic Teams The Lynx men’s golf team earned LU-Belleville its first ever USCAA National Title this fall, and placed three golfers on the All-American team. Brett Denap, Bo Cook and Justin Robinson all took home honors after helping their team capture the national title. The USCAA National Champion men’s soccer team placed Alejandro Lopez and Luis Morfin on the All-American team, while Tyler Houck earned Honorable Mention. In addition to picking up an All-American award, Lopez also earned All-Academic honors. On the women’s side, Danielle Lucks took home All-American honors, with Catalina Albarracin and Nora Nordike earning All-Academic awards. The women’s cross country team, which finished 10th at the USCAA National Championships, placed four runners on the All-Academic team this fall. Quoc Nguyen, Ali Mulvany, Myla Sparks and Lindsey Waters all added the award to their list of accolades, after helping their team to a top-10 finish. Along with a fifth-place finish at the USCAA National Championships, women’s volleyball took home five awards in the All-American and All-Academic categories. Emily Randazzo and Ally Junge were placed on the All-American Honorable Mention team, while Ali Mulvaney, Manuela Salazar and Madison Farrier earned All-Academic honors.
