Lindenwood University-Belleville announced today that Fawne Yearian has been named the head coach of the Lady Lynx Cheerleading and Dance teams.
“I am excited to be coaching again,” said Yearian. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with the girls and begin building a tradition.”
Yearian will lead the cheerleading and dance squads in their inaugural season. The dance team will compete in the Universal Dance Association and the cheerleading squad will compete in the National Cheerleaders Association.
“I am excited for both Lindenwood and Belleville,” added Yearian. “As an alumnus, I have seen the growth of the school, and am anxious for what the future holds.”
Yearian returns to coaching after holding the same position at Waterloo High School in Waterloo, Illinois. There she led the squad to two top 10 showings at the UDA and NCA cheerleading camps.
Prior to coaching, Yearian was a member of the Cheer United all-star cheerleading squad.
Yearian graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences and a minor in business administration. She earned master’s in business administration from Lindenwood-Belleville in 2009.
