Belleville, Ill – An announcement out of Cape Girardeau this week confirmed that southern Missouri television network, KFVS 12, will broadcast the Lady Lynx vs. Redhawks game live online on Dec. 30.
Since its inception in 2007, Southeast Missouri State and KFVS 12 have had a strategic partnership to begin broadcasting several games a year in a multitude of sports for free. As the Lady Lynx head to Cape Girardeau for the game on Dec. 30, it will mark the first time that any Lindenwood – Belleville team has been featured on television.
“Although this is going to be a very tough Division I match-up for us, we are happy that our parents will be able to see the game,” said Lady Lynx Head Coach Annie Ewing. “Some of our parents have not been able to come into town to see us play, so this is great for them.”
“It’s an exciting time for all of our sports, but getting this kind of coverage is great,” said Sports Information Director, Brad Cygan. The Lady Lynx will play the NCAA Division I team at noon on Thursday, Dec. 30 in Cape Girardeau. Fans can go to www.kfvs12.com to watch the game as it happens or view the game after the fact, on-demand.
