Lopez Receives National Honor

This week’s USCAA National Coaches Poll was released today and the Lynx continue to capture national attention. Aside from retaining their No. 5 national ranking, junior midfielder Alejandro Lopez was named Honorable Mention National Player of the Week. Lopez scored three goals and had two assists in an 8-0 win against St. Louis Community College – Forest Park last week. He’s totaled five goals and three assists on the season. Coach Dan Hogan said, “Alejandro is a great player. He works hard on the offensive and defensive end. I think his dedication to defense is often what generates scoring opportunities for him.” Lopez and the No. 5 Lynx will be back in action this Saturday in Belleville at 2 p.m. against Springfield College.
