Lindenwood University – Belleville has been accepted into the American Midwest Conference, as announced by league administrators on Wednesday. This comes one year after being accepted into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics as an independent institution.
Lake Placid, N.Y.- On November 9th, 2012 the LU-Belleville men’s cross country team finished with a 3rd place finish at the USCAA national championships. In a total team effort, the men without one of their top runners on the trip, finished a program’s best 3rd place. The Lynx were led by Senior Captain Alberto Tellez who finished 18th overall with an 8K time of 29:09. Finishing second for the Lynx, 19th overall, was freshmen Byron McLaughlin with a time of 29:22. Kyle Kleinschmidt and Curran Walsh finished 3rd and 4th for the Lynx, 31st, and 38th respectively with 8K times of 30:16 and 30:41. Finishing 5th for the Lynx and 46th overall was freshman Zach England with a time of 31:11.
The men's cross country team finished 8th this weekend at the Illinois College. The Lynx have one regular-season race left before the USCAA National Championships.
